Visa Information and Requirements

• Visa applicants can apply for visas by contacting the nearest Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Please refer relevant visa category in the visa category table. For example, if you are going to attend meeting, refer to “Sr. No. 11 (Workshop/ Seminar/ Meeting/ Research Visa)”. If you would to travel as tourist, please refer “Sr. No. 3 (Tourist Visa).
• General, visitors apply for Tourist visa, Business Visa and Workshop/Seminar/Meeting/Research Visa. The information and requirements are as follows:

Requirement for “Tourist Visa”:

• Confirmation of pre-paid package tour (if applicable) (Send the copy of confirmation by tour operator in Myanmar if the applicant intends to join a package tour);
• Duly-filled visa form, with photograph and CNIC copy to be sent to the Embassy (Per applicant);
• Passport with at least six months validity and blank page for visa;
• ONE Tourist visa application form which can be downloaded from:

• THREE recent colour photographs (size:45mm x 35mm, white background, please follow the photograph guidelines) Download from :

• Departure date from Pakistan(or home country if not resident in Pakistan), provide details in writing
• Dates of entry into and departure from Myanmar (in writing)
• Copy of ticket booking reference and banking references
• Enclose with your application, in exact amount of cash
• Self-addressed pre-paid envelope or courier satchel large enough to hold passport, for safe return, i.e. Registered Post, TCS.
• Mention the address of the applicant very clearly, unless the return envelope may not be delivered to its destination or lost during postal process.
• Applications should be sent to the Embassy prior to departure (need sufficient time for processing).
• Visa must be obtained in advance of travel to Myanmar. Please allow sufficient time to get the processing done. Visa application for the first time entry may take longer and applicants are advised to contact the Embassy prior to the application.
• Visa section can be contacted between 9:30am to 3:30pm from Monday to Friday except holidays.
• Please refer to Travel Information page for using credit cards, money changers and all other financial and banking matters in Myanmar.
• Please check before submission of application that full address and contact phone numbers or mobile numbers and name of the hotel are mentioned in your application. The Form must be filled up in details. Particularly, the applicant’s occupation and address in details. (For “Occupation”, mention: Rank/position, name of organization/company, for “address”, mention: House No., Street, Sector, District, City/town and mobile telephone number as well.)
• Incomplete application and unattached necessary documents would not be considered for issuing visa.
• Applicants can apply visa through travel agent or by mail.
• The Embassy takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of passport by courier services.

Business Visa

• This type of visa is for applicants who are travelling to Myanmar for any business purpose.
• Business visas are issued for a stay in Myanmar up to 10 weeks (70 days) and are valid for entry into the country within three months from the date of issue.

Requirements

• Request Letter from applicant’s company, in which type of business, applicant’s name, passport details, position in company and TRAVEL DATES should be mentioned.
• Letter of Invitation from Myanmar company/enterprise/organization and a copy each of company registration certificates issued by Myanmar Investment Commission/ Ministries concerned (compulsory to submit the copy of these certificates) (Please refer above-mentioned table) and copies of receipts certifying payment of taxes imposed (from the counterpart Myanmar company that invites you);
